Yes, she does have that Primary Lady voice, I associate it with the 1950's era for some reason. Is it strange to hear someone else reading your story? Way to go Dar! We are proud of you!!
Oh, wow, that is a very hard voice for me to listen to. (I almost need a notebook to draw dinosaurs in!) There were narrators on some of the PBS shows when I was a kid who sounded just like that, too. But I loved the story.
I rescued our starting-to-be-demolished copy of the May Friend from the family room floor this evening -- I'll have to point your story out to my kids so they can see that I have famous and talented friends. :)
