I know you've all been waiting for me to talk about my opinion on the election. Yes, ever since my diatribe on vouchers, you have been hankering for more politics from ol' Eunice, haven't you?
Well, here's what I have to say on the subject. And I hope all responsible citizens will watch this. In fact, if I didn't have such a strong aversion to people sending mass e-mails on political subjects to everyone they know, I would be sending this to you right now. But at least I can claim that YOU came to ME, tht you watched this because you sincerely wanted to be informed on the issues and know the truth about things:

I was thinking about politics today because Forrest is at Youth Conference and when he called me this morning he told us we might have to move :-). Turns out while the grown-ups were gathered round the campfire the talk turned to the election and Forrest was audacious enough to admit he plans to vote for Obama. Gasps all around. Sidelong glances and whatnot. The horror! The shame!

I think this video at least partly described me as a voter in my far-distant youth -- but I like to say that if living in Berkeley doesn't change your politics, it at least makes you very aware of what your politics are. (Add in having lived in France, Belgium, and the Middle East, and I've almost no choice but to be a political creature.)
I followed the video to the website and watched some other fabulous videos -- I love the one about how we're depleting Miley Cyrus resources, and the interview with the author of the diet book called "Don't Eat Your Desk." The one where the Today Now female host discusses her own biography with its author is brilliant, too.
My employer encouraged us to leave work to go vote during the last local elections but I didn't vote. Now I know that I can print a sticker and sleep in my car while pretending to vote. Marvelous idea!! I love it!
