Congrats, Dar! What an accomplishment!!!
Darlene,
Hi! It's Mindi Ritzman from the Berkeley Ward. I've found my way to your blog before but had since forgotten how I got here. Today I got here through the Segullah blog. Long way of saying Congratulations! When do we get to see it?:)
Thanks, guys!
Hi, Mindi! We still have your bunk bed--can you believe that? I'm so glad you found me here.
I finished it yesterday, coming in at about 47000 words. I was supposed to go to 50000, but it was done, and it's a YA/Tweens novel, so the shorter length is better. Besides, that length will change a lot as I revise because the book is a MESS and will go through major revision. But Draft One is done! And, really, folks, face it: more than 90% of novels that get published did, actually, have a first draft. :)
Congratulations Darlene! That is so exciting. You are really inspiring (and always have been). I found my way here through Mindi.
